Dove and her twin Della are basically identical. It was clear right away that they would both be 2020 keepers. I am especially pleased that they have their dam Pholia Farm HD DeeDee's long rump. DeeDee earned her milk star as a FF. With her perfect size teats, large orifice, and soft capacious udder, she is my favorite doe to hand milk.

I decided to breed Dove as a yearling and wait a year to breed Della so that I can study any differences that appear over time. But it would have been fun to have them both in dry yearling classes, just to see how judges would differentiate them! (Covid eliminated that anyway.)

Their sire, Walsh Kids HH Chicago, +EV 85 (at 15 months), excels in Dairy Strength, body capacity, back and rear legs. His dam, Champion Castle Rock Rochelle, and granddam Grand Champion Castle Rock Roxanne both have E in mammary. He has passed on these strengths as well as improved udder height and lateral attachment in my herd. See Double Helix C Windy City's page for a great example.
